The Terminator Looking to Be Back by Summer 2009
Monroe, Ga. 5/11/2007 03:52 PM GMT (FINDITT)
The movie franchise that made Arnold Schwarzenegger a household name now has plans for another three installments. Schwarzenegger, who starred in the first three Terminator flicks, may not make it back for a fourth. It seems that taking care of his duties as Governor of California is more important than saving humanity from cyborgs.
It has been nearly four years since Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines hit theaters capping a trilogy that raked in over $1 billion world-wide.
The Halcyon Company, which purchased the rights to the franchise, has already hinted that the next Terminator film will begin a new trilogy. The production company is already trying to get preproduction started so that they may roll the film out in the summer of 2009.
Much like Schwarzenegger’s appearance is unlikely, the involvement of James Cameron is just as doubtful. Cameron was a writer for each of the first three movies and he directed the first two.
