El DeBarge Arrested for Domestic Violence

It has been a week since the media blitz surrounding Bishop Thomas Weeks’ attack on wife Juanita Bynum and already another domestic violence charge has been leveled against a public figure. El DeBarge, lead singer of the pop group DeBarge and successful solo artist, was arrested on Wednesday morning and charged with domestic violence.
El DeBarge was taken to Men’s Jail Center in Los Angeles following the arrest.
No reports have been released indicating who the victim was in the attack but DeBarge is currently separated from his wife Monique.
The 46-year-old DeBarge saw his star rise in the mid to late 80’s as he launched a solo career that produced hits such as “Who’s Johnny,” “Broken Dreams,” and “All This Love.”
DeBarge did not have the opportunity to post bail.
