Southwest Airlines Grounds 41 Jets for Inspections

Southwest Airlines has grounded 41 of their Boeing 737 aircrafts for safety inspections. Last week the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposed a $10 million fine against Southwest on allegations of inspection violations.

FAA claims Southwest Airlines has failed to have required safety inspections for many of their planes. Some of the planes that were kept flying allegedly had cracks in their fuselages, which is the main body of the aircraft that hold passengers, crew members and cargo.
