Kenya's Robert Cheruiyot won the men's race of the 2008 Boston Marathon Monday, marking his third consecutive win in the marathon.

Cheruiyot, who won his fourth marathon overall, finished in 2 hours, 7 minutes, 46 seconds. He missed the course record he set two years ago by 32 seconds, but became the fourth man to win the world's oldest annual marathon four times.

With Cheruiyot's win, he gives Kenya 15th men's victory in 17 years.

The Boston Marathon purse is worth $796,000, the richest of the World Marathon Majors events. Cheruiyot will receive $150,000, which is a record in the majors, which include London, Chicago, Berlin and New York City.

The official Boston Marathon course map and route are available on the Boston Athletic Association website, located at http://www.baa.org/BostonMarathon/CourseMaps.pdf.
