Outkast Rapper Big Boi Arrested For Drug Possession

Outkast rapper Big Boi was arrested over the weekend in
Miami. TMZ reports the musician, whose real name is Antwan Patton, was exiting
a cruise ship when customs and border patrol dogs detected illegal substances. Patton
was searched and authorities reportedly found ecstasy pills, MDMA powder and
Viagra. He did not have a prescription for Viagra, an erectile dysfunction
medication.
Miami-Dade police took Patton into custody and booked him
on three felony counts of possession of a controlled substance and one felony count
of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $16,000.
Patton’s attorney Daniel Kane confirmed the arrest. “While
Big Boi was traveling with his group and friends, a small amount of contraband
was found in the collective luggage. I am confident when the entire facts are
aired Big Boi will be completely exonerated,” Kane said.
