Upon receiving word in his Danville, California office that his new book Homeland Insecurity has been the recipient of three book awards, former FBI official, Terry Turchie said in a statement on Saturday, that "...the CIA’s intrusion into the law and order sector regarding terrorist interrogation has been an unmitigated disaster. The 'unnamed officials' cited in news reports are reflective of the Washington DC culture that places the attainment of power and the perpetuation of it by many politicians, above national security."

Turchie, a former FBI Unit Director along with co-author Dr. Kathleen Puckett, a clinical psychologist and founder of the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Program, are co-authors of Homeland Insecurity, a book that focuses on 11 Washington politicians who, addicted to political power, have compromised national security in order to satisfy their addiction.

Homeland Insecurity received national awards from the Independent Book Publishers Association, Foreword Magazine and the Independent Publisher. All three organizations serve the university and independent press.

Mr. Turchie and Dr. Puckett are aslo the co-authors of the award-winning Hunting the American Terrorist. Both of their books were published by History Publishing Company LLC.
