ACO Tailgator World Championship of Cornhole 16 | No Pro Cornhole Tournament | Bradenton Florida

If you did not make the cut to compete in the ACO World Championships of Cornhole 16, do not despair. Your opportunity has not passed you by.

If you think you have a Cornhole Game in you put it up against other backyarders like yourself and see. Play is scheduled in the same place as the ACO Worlds 16, Bradenton Area Convention Center, during the same week, July 27-31. You will be playing right along with the ACO Pros.

Imagine Saturday, July 31, crowned Tailgator World Championships of Cornhole 16  Champion and presented with the Championship shirt that is your claim to fame for life. Your Backyarder friends and family will take notice.

Be part of the weeklong festival of events as you participate in the World Championships of Cornhole excitement.

The Tailgator World Championship, launched at Worlds 15, continues to add momemtum to this Cornhole extravaganza. Backyard cornhole players will compete with other players of their own skill level.

Spectators are welcome and encouraged to attend. There is no charge for spectators. And ACO Pro matches are open to the viewing public.

Bring your own partner. There are eight (8) separate double elimination tournaments throughout the week with the first tournament beginning Tuesday July 27. The Finals for the Tailgator World Championship 16 is played on Saturday July 31.

Sign up and reserve your Tournament day now. Tailgator play starts Tuesday July 27 and goes through Friday July 30 to determine who will play on Saturday July 31. Taigator Finals are on Saturday July 31.

Be part of the festivities on Saturday July 31, while the ACO celebrates American Cornhole Organization World Cornhole Day as declared via Proclamation from the Mayor of the City of Columbia, South Carolina. Every year hence forth the last Saturday of July has been so designated.

American Cornhole (ACO) Features $25,000 Purse Go the Distance Festival Field of Dreams Movie Site August 26-28

Just over a week ago, the Field of Dreams hosted the Major League Baseball game of the year between the Cincinnati Reds and the Chicago Cubs to baseball fans delight across the country.  Once again the storied movie set will host another very unusual event when the American Cornhole Organization, the ACO, journeys to Dyersville, Iowa for the Inaugural Go the Distance Festival August 26-28.

The Go the Distance Festival located on the Field of Dreams Movie Site features the ACO Dream Team Invitational and the ACO Corny Classic.

The weekend includes, for the Dream Team Invitational, Friday and Saturday qualifiers open to anyone, with Sunday’s play including the top 24 teams from the qualifiers plus any ACO Corny 40 player. The $25,000 guaranteed purse includes $5,000 for first place. The Corny 40 Classic is open to all Season 17 Corny 40 players. First place prize is a vacation stay at the “Kinsella Family Experience,” an all-expense paid trip to the movie site, overnight stay at the farmhouse, guided tour inside the house, movie apparel and more.

At the “Field of Dreams Movie Site” visitors will be able to tour the farm house used in the movie and be on the field where the baseball scenes were shot. Play will be inside the Barn event center and specially created classic Field of Dreams bags will be provided for game play.

American Cornhole Organization Announces ACO Season 18 Majors Schedule

With the ACO Season 17 World Championships in the books and Craig Ervin being crowned the new “King of Cornhole,” plans are well under way for the American Cornhole Organization (ACO) Season 18 Majors schedule.

The season will start over Labor Day weekend with the Lake Charles Major in Lake Charles, LA, September 2-3. The next weekend will be the Charleston Major in Charleston, West Virginia, September 9-10, the first Pro Series stop open to ACO Pros only.

“We’re so excited to launch our ACO Season 18 schedule in just one month,” said Frank Geers, president and CEO of the ACO. “We’re especially looking forward to welcoming our ACO pros to our 10 Pro Series stops.”
